Context:

Famous from their podcast My Favorite Murder, the co-authors of this dual memoir were first time authors with this high profile release for Forge Books. The cover wasn’t available when I designed this title’s interior and case, so the general true crime vibe of their podcast and their personal aesthetics were weighed as I made type and layout choices. There were several “sidebar” elements that required different type treatments while still remaining cohesive. Some pieces of fan art were provided and I included those in the text as well. The endpapers are a creepy image I sourced from a royalty free scanned book and then customized with “SSDGM” incorporated. A fun project as a fan of theirs!
