Anatomy & Immortality Duology

Context:

My goal for this series/duology design project was to keep the feel of the Victorian-era female surgeon x resurrection man love story throughout in a cohesive package. My type and visual decisions were informed by both the jacket design and the book’s setting. These titles released within a year of each other, instant NYT Bestsellers (and the internet loved the foiled cases, including the pictured special edition from B&N with vintage surgery instruments).

Tasks:

Case design, complementary color choices, case stamp sourcing, family tree, and typesetting entire text + various extracts throughout.

Skills used:

Art direction, creative project management, inDesign, photoshop, image sourcing, case stamp best practices, and typography.
